about
A song that I wrote in the height of Co-Vid lockdown. I used to drive my car at night screaming and wailing because I felt so overwhelmed and disconnected. My good friend Stackhat produced this. He sent me a beat, I laid down some keys, he sent it back with more bits and I laid a vocal at my friend Nardean's home studio.
lyrics
These are crazy times that we live in
Feels like the end of days
I'm not scared of death
But I don't wanna die yet
Not when the world is still growing
The little world inside my chest
Pumping blood it's not enough to reach your fingertips
I wanna feel you
I wanna breathe you
Don't tell me what I shouldn't do
I'll go outside if I want to
I thought I might know something
Turns out I don't know nothing
I thought the world was very small
I thought it was accessible
How could it be some kind of dream
A fantasy conspiracy
Maybe it's only chaos
Maybe it's just a dream
What makes you feel good?
What good is your opinion
If it doesn't lead to love?
What's the point of living
If we don't lead with love?
I just wanna tell the truth
So sick of always looking for the light
Like it's somehow better than the darkness
When you see my shadows think I'm heartless
Thought I was lost but I was free
Keep my eyes closed I'd rather dream
I wanna feel you
I wanna breathe you
Don't tell me what I shouldn't do
I'll go outside if I want to
I thought I might know something
Turns out I don't know nothing
I thought the world was very small
I thought it was accessible
How could it be some kind of dream
A fantasy conspiracy
